Two questions

Can anyone confirm whether the Allies and the Germans were using the same time (GMT+1?) in France in 1944?

Secondly - does anyone have any biographical information (particularly a date of birth) or a photograph for Oblt Jakob SCHAUS, a Staffelkapitaen of 4./NJG4. He had 23 victories.

I'd be very grateful for any help. Thanks.
