Crash of Fw. Reinert and his crew 3./KG53
Hi,
On the 12th of June 1942 the crew of Fw. Reinert crashed. Killing the following four crew members: FF Uffz. Herbert Reinert BO Fw. Berhard Krug BM Fw. Jonny Rudolph BS Ogefr. Herbert Grünzweig Can someone provide more details around this mission and crash? And was there a BF that survived? Regards, Thomas |

Verlustmeldung from June 14, 1942 is listed: 12.6. 3./KG 53 Feindflug (Bei Kretschno) Absturz infolge Flakbeschuss He 111 H-6 4851 A1+DL 100% F Uffz Herbert Reiner vermisst B Fw Bernhard Krug vermisst Bf Uffz Paul Hübner vermisst Bs Obgefr Herbert Grünzweig vermisst Bm Fw Jonny Rudolf vermisst. Correction from July 7, 1942: Uffz Hübner nicht vermisst, sondern verletzt. Regards Leo |

Hallo Leo,
Thank you very much for this information. Hübner problably was the only crew member that was able to jump, maybe already wounded, out of the crashing he111. A correction on July the 7th could indicate that he was behind enemy lines for quite some time. Servus, Thomas |
