BURNING PLANE KILLS FLYER
Falls 2,000 Feet to Death—Pilot
Escapes in Parachute
Vallejo. Cal., June 27 (AP).—Withrow Prince, aged twenty-three, naval radio operator, plunged 3,000 feet In a burning airplane to his death near here yesterday.
Ensign L. T. Cleaves, pilot, leaped to safety in a parachute. The plane crashed three and a half miles northeast of Vallejo.
The two flyers, attached to the U. S. S. Milwaukee, were conducting radio tests in a Corsair biplane when the ship burst into flames.


Ensign L. T. Cleaves is Lemuel Taylor Cleaves Jr. Born August 25, 1900, Died Sept 23rd 1959 Virginia.

Withrow Prince was born 8 March 1906 and is buried in Thompson, Windham, Connecticut,

Again can anyone supply the ID of the Corsair biplane involved
