Identity of German Cross in Gold Flier?
Hi,
Recently bought this portrait on Ebay thinking it was a flier with German Cross in Gold just visible. If so, does anyone know who he is? Thanks Rick Last edited by rickback4444; 23rd September 2018 at 21:19. |

Reminds me somewhat to Hans Döbrich.

Possibly. A careful look at the hairline, eyes and lips are important clues. And his age when the photo was taken.

It does look a little bit like him, but I do not feel that it is.

Re: Identity of German Cross in Gold Flier?
Hi,
I did translate H-J Röll´s Döbrich-book to Finnish language last year, and I spent quite a lot of time staring the many pictures in the book. Based on that, although especially the hairstyle has similarities, I´d say this is NOT Hans Döbrich. Best regards, Raimo |

Isn't the black eagle in the flying clasp in the downwards direktion?
(it's not clear visible on the published foto). If it's so, this man is not a member of a fighter unit. Greetings |
