Hello,
On page 48 of Heinz Nowarra's, Minensuchgruppe Mausi mit der Tante Ju in den Kampfeinsatz (Flugzeug Publikations, 1995), there appears a photograph depicting two graves in the Western Desert. One cross is marked Flugzeugfuhrer Fw. Walter Ditsch, the other, Bordmechaniker Uffz Richard Lachmann. Both crosses have the emblem of Minensuchgruppe 1 on them, The other details on the crosses are difficult to make out, but the picture caption reads: Sie fielen in Einsatz mit Ju 52/MS in NordAfrika. Any comments? Col.
