Re: Bullet ?
Yes, a bullet, from a muzzle-loading rifled musket that predates the crash site by about 100-years. The .69 caliber rifled musket was popular/used in the late 1830s through the 1840s.
Thank you for the dimensions. It made for an instant ID. Bronc. |

Re: Bullet ?
LOL...
Out of lead. Nope. Is it hollow? Nope. ClinA-78, when I tell you a piss ant can pull a bale of hay, hitch it up, partner. Bronc Last edited by Broncazonk; 27th September 2019 at 19:02. |

Re: Bullet ?
LOL. Well, that photo is interesting.
But the mystery is easily solved. (1) Is it made of lead or another metal? (2) Does it have a solid base? (3) Is it solid, or hollow through and through? If the answer is Yes to 1, 2, 3, then it's a rifled musket bullet (you can actually see what looks like rifling.) If it's No to 1, 2, 3, then it's a hose clamp. And then I'm going to be asking why, in a million years, did ginamod think a hollow non-lead piece of metal was a bullet?!? The ant pulling a bale of hay translates to, "even if I say something very implausible, just go ahead and believe me." Bronc |

Re: Bullet ?
Why a mystery as this is an Argus hose connection…
I may reckon I (still) don't understand you Bronc. Sorry. Perhaps Ginamod can solve his/this 'mystery' after all? ClinA-78 |
