Re: Luftwaffe Aces -- Biographies and Victory Claims
Very interesting. The first bio, that of Lt. Hans Adam, immediately caught my attention. If he was shot down and killed south of Styding (Denmark, not Germany?) by P-51s, my guess is that he fell prey to pilots of 505th FS / 339th FG who escorted heavies to Swinemunde on that day (12th March 1945) and claimed several Bf 109s. They were the only USAAF pilots in the ETO to claim any victories on that day - unless Adam was knocked down by RAF Mustangs.

Re: Luftwaffe Aces -- Biographies and Victory Claims
Interesting indeed. I glanced through the sample pages and noted some errors in the claim list of Fw. Anlauf. His claims on 14.10.44. are located in area near Priština in Serbia, and claims on 20.10.1944.and 26.10.1944. near Turnu Severin on Rumanian border with Serbia/Yugoslavia. This is quite impossible as both locations were not only far-far away from the time-being bases of 3./JG 52 in Poland (Radlov and Ziechenau) but also well behind the front lines in Yugoslavia and Rumania. In Barbas' I./JG 52 book locations of the claims are given with Pl.Q.13191, 13195, and Pl.Q.25615, Pl.Q.25498. I don't know where these Pl.Q. are, but I'd say that somebody has misidentified them.

Re: Luftwaffe Aces -- Biographies and Victory Claims
I suggest those with verifiable amendments and corrections to forward them to the publisher. This will make the set all the more worthwhile, and accuracy is more important than hitting scheduled publication dates in my view.
