Friedrich August Battery located at Boulogne-sur-Mer (code Z.592) 08/09/1943

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what Mosquito PFF squadron marked the target. Also, there seems to be two separate targets, NORTH and SOUTH. Can anyone explain what was what ?

TIA

Re: Friedrich August Battery located at Boulogne-sur-Mer (code Z.592) 08/09/1943

Two batteries N and S of Le Portel

5043N 0134.5E (21:28-21:45 hrs) and 5042N 0134E (22:13 to 22:30 hrs)

AP- North - 0/1 Mosquito 105 Sqn and 3/5 Mosquito 109 Sqn
AP-South - 4/5 Mosquito 105 Sqn and 3/5 Mosquito 109 Sqn

6 Mosquitos marked each target using two different techniques (Oboe and Baillie-Beam)
4 Mosquitos bombed the southern target at the end of the bombing
