Re: Photo Italian Aircraft ID Needed

Wow Clint

Never seen this good photos before of two different models of the so called Nieuport-Macchi Parasol 1913.

Some 42 in all were built beginning in 1913.
I am actually not sure when I say this, but from the looks of things, the single aircraft is of a later version while the photo of two aircraft one can again see the later model to the left and the older one to the right.

Wonderful find!! Thanks

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photo Italian Aircraft ID Needed

Stig,

Are you aware of any other links to this machine? or anything published at all? I'd like to get some serial numbers if at all possible.

On a personal note. I was really only interested in Germaan and KuK machines when I began posting on this board. I have to say these italian aircraft, perhaps because so much is new to me, are really fascinating.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photo Italian Aircraft ID Needed

Sorry Clint

Before this, I only had four photos of the older version and one very much hidden view of the newer one.
None of them show any serial number what so ever.

Like you I cannot find anything useful on the internet either.

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photo Italian Aircraft ID Needed

Stig,

We'll I'll just have to add a nonograph on the Nieuport-Macchi Parasol to my christmas wish list. It could happen.I've just received notification from amazon that my order for the new Macchi-Nieuport 11 & 17 monograph has dispatched so there's still new Italian WW.I aviation related material being released.

Regards,

Clint

Now you have me stumped Clint

Cannot find any book titled that either on Amazon Italy or UK
Correct title?

I have an old Intergest book called Nieuport Macchi 11 & 17 but it was published in 1976....

Cheers
