Hello,

Can anyone provide details of the loss of the Bf 110 Werk-Nr. 3238 on the 27.06.1941?

Thanks
Oleg

Re: Bf 110 Werk-Nr. 3238

Bf 110 W. Nr. 3238 is a 'C-2' sub-variant, which is a little surprising, since it is with a recce unit, which would normally be equipped with 'C-5's or 'E-3's...

Re: Bf 110 Werk-Nr. 3238

Hello Rüdiger,

that is entirely possible. But Domann is the spelling in the Gen.Qu. loss report from 4 July 1941 No. 47.

Leo

Re: Bf 110 Werk-Nr. 3238

Hello Leo,

There is no Domann in the VDKlist for June 1941, only one Erich Dohmann KIA the 27.06.1941.
I have all microfiches of the losses, the spellling in the GQM is Domann, but there are a lot of mistakes.

Regards
Rüdiger

In the NVM it is Dohmann.

The Gen. Qu. reports are notorious for mis-spelling of surnames.

The Namentliche Verlustmeldung is a far more accurate source.

Hello John,

I think that this fact is no reason to give up quotations of the Gen.Qu. reports.
