Good Morning to all
Looking for the USAAF history of the following aircraft Curtiss C-46F-1-CU 44-78764 There is some information on its postwar carrer but looking for any information or sources to consult about its wartime ,if it went overseas or stayed stateside. thank you in advance Santiago |

From July 1945 So do not expect there was any War service. 22587 44-78764 September 45 N67970 Flying Tiger Line. Possibly never operated. Slick owned by Aug 53. Hit dyke on landing 7 January 57at San Francisco, CA. Bounced hard, overshot, but undercarriage collapsed on landing. Repaired. Aaxico Lsd to Capitol July 60 to last quarter 61. Lsd to Zantop 12 August 64. Undercarriage collapsed on landing at Atlanta, GA 8 February 65. Purch by Zantop 1966. Became Universal September 66. To Aviation Associates of Georgia, Mason,GA 1968. Shamrock Airlines, HapevilleGA, 1969 Plymouth LeasingCo, Plymouth, MI (Ortner), 74. Transferred Continental Airlines 1976.
