Commanded VF-53 in 1953-54. Has anyone details of his career?

Don't have anything on Fitzgerald except his dates of rank. Typical for the class of 1942.

More digging for me He definitely looks in his mid-late thirties so the USNA date isd a good start. My weekend I looking up. I just wish I had his second name.

Spot on Mr Leonard. He is Midshipman John N (Fitz, Jack or Jerry) Fitzgerald, class of '42. Seems to have an interest in radio telegraphy. He probably became an aviator post war.

A wee bit more. John Nelson Fitzgerald jr. Born 10 May 1919. Annapolis'42. Lieutenant 3.10.1945. Not mentioned as an aviator in 1949.
