Oblt Helmut Dietrich 9./KG 100

The above was stated as being St Kap of 9./KG 100 and wounded in an Allied air attack 23 Jun 44. Anyone have anything on him afterwards?

Re: Oblt Helmut Dietrich 9./KG 100

There is an Oberleutnant Helmut Dietrich who was killed on 6 March 1945, while serving with 6./NJG 2. He bailed out too low. Maybe the same guy?

Kind regards,

Timon

Re: Oblt Helmut Dietrich 9./KG 100

ADI(K) 344/1944 (from Ltn. Keller's crew, shot down on 4/5th July) lists Oberleutnant Lamp as Staffelführer of 9./KG 100.

Under "III - Staffel unknown:-" is "Oberleutnant Dietrich (Now left the Gruppe)".

If he was wounded on 23 June, then he was gone from the unit within ten or eleven days.
