Not the right Robert Stone. He is looking for the fighter pilot R.J. Stone who flew with the 318th Fighter Group. All Frank Olynyk has on him is he joined the Army Reserves and was awarded his wings on March 12, 1944. Promoted to 1st Lt. June 19, 1945 and his last combat flight was on June 23, 1945.

According to Ancestry.com, he was in the Air Force Reserve after WWII.

He was recalled to Active duty in the Air Force on 5 March 1951 and served in Korea and Vietnam.

He left the service on 31 July, 1979.
