Blog post about 10.(Pz.)/Schlachtgeschwader 1 in 1944

Hi,

Air War Publications has just released our latest blog post, a short article outlining the history of 10.(Pz.)/Schlachtgeschwader 1 in 1944, and in particular the Bagration period in the summer of that year. Here is a link to the post, which we hope is of interest to 12 O'Clock High members: https://airwarpublications.com/10-pz...and-bagration/

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Hello Andrew,

Thank you for the interesting blog post!

Is it known at least approximately how many sorties a day the pilots of 10./SG1 made?

Cheers,
Andrey

Hello Andrey,

Nice to hear from you, and glad you liked the blog post!

I can only offer partial information, but from mid- to late-July 1944, I./S.G. 1 and 10.(Pz.)/S.G. 1 were flying ca. 50-80 sorties per day.

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Have you any info about 10.(Pz)/SG1's action later in autumn 1944?
