Strong possible for Wilhelm Johnen. Could also be Johannes Brandenburg? I did originally think Wilhelm Brennecke, but I think the ranks wrong. Could also give Paul Dose and Horst Carganico a look as well.

With regards to the first image;

The 'Neue Illustrierte Zeitung' magazine dated 23 May 1944 has an image of this same man undoubtedly taken at the same time, although slightly to the side view.

Taking the date of 23 May 1944 into consideration, it rules out the possibility of Wim Johnen.

My money is on Alfons Koester.
