Honor Guard at Moelders' Funeral
I am looking for the names of the eight members of the honor guard at Werner Moelders' funeral. I am certain that the following pilots were among the guard:
Adolf Galland Wolfgang Falck Guenther Luetzow Johann Schalk Karl-Gottfried Nordmann Herbert Kaminski I have also read that Oesau, Muencheberg and Assi Hahn were members of the honor guard; however, only two of them could have been (I am leaning toward Oesau and Muencheberg). In Werner Held's Fighter, the caption for a photo of Molders' funeral identifies Schnell, Priller, Hahn, and Streib in the front row of the cortege. Another photo caption identifies Schalk and Lutzow, and Galland is easily identifiable in a third.
