New book on the 'new' Me 262s

Hello friends,

here it is, finally: the English language edition of ‘Project 262’, test pilot Wolf Czaia’s first-hand account on re-engineering, manufacturing and flying the new Messerschmitt 262s. Given this audience, I need not say much about the story of these five replicas. Time and again the ambitious undertaking seemed about to founder – on financial, technical and bureaucratic hurdles, upon the crash landing of the first aircraft. But nothing could deter the band of highly qualified specialists who had devoted themselves to the project body and soul. And in the end triumph was theirs.

Now Wolf tells it all. Jim Larsen is responsible for the breathtaking pictures that complement the text. The book comes with a 45 minute DVD of professional documentary film quality. The commentary is by Wolf Czaia himself and the film covers not only the manufacture of the machines but, above all, features detailed in-cockpit as well as air-to-air sequences taken during the numerous test flights. You’ll find all relevant info and a demo from the DVD on www.twentyninesix.com .

Enjoy!
Kurt

Hello Kurt,

Good news about the 262 book, look forward to reading it. Could you tell us which of your other books will be translated into English next. Can't wait to read Wolf's book, or Luetzow's or Paul Zorner's. I saw Paul last week and he was in good health and pleased with the way it has sold. Look forward to hearing from you, all the best, David.
