Hi nikkel, Siebel was killed whilst flying Ju88A-4 W.Nr 3784 F1+AK when hit by flak at Wyschnaja, on the Eastern Front. He was staffelkapitan of 2/KG76, and had been awarded the Bombers Operational Clasp.

Chris, it was 23.5.42.
Presumably he was promoted to Hptm. and awarded the E.Pokal posthumously. Best regs, Steve.

A further check revealed the remaining crew members names.
Bo.Ofw.Paul Zomola, Bf.Ofw.Kurt Pahleke, Be.Uffz.Hans Sternberg. I have a note that only one member returned from this loss, however I don't have his name! Best regs, Steve.

Steve, GQM dated 29-08-1942 page 5 item 83 shows all four crewmen as missing , there is only an amendment note next to Hpt. Siebels name showing him being changed from missing to killed as shown on GQM report dated 31-8-1942 . Unless a NVM shows differently there does not appear to have been a survivor,
