Any recorded victory by a Me 163 on 14th January 1945?

Good night!
While searching the site Spitfire.co.uk I came around a PR machine that was reported being shot down by a Me 163 on the 14th January 1945! I tried to find out any match but got no joy yet.
Any knews or claims submitted by JG 400 or Ek 16 on that day?
There was a JG 1 claim that could match the PR Spitfire loss on that day...
Thanks
Adriano

F/L J.M. Coldwell-Horsfall 16 Sqn POW 14Jan45 flying a Spitfire PR.XI (PL853), supposedly shotdown by a Me 163 of JG 400 but I don't know of any corresponding Luftwaffe claim.

Re: Any recorded victory by a Me 163 on 14th January 1945?

Hello Andy!
I do remember a former 544 Squadron's Navigator telling me he was shot down by some 6 Me 163 Komets or Me 262 ( he remembered they were jets and a lot of them! ) on 18th July 1944....only to find out that he was indeed shot down by Oblt Kurt Gabler from JG 300 on a Bf 109 G-6! Memory can indeed play tricks...
In this case, it seems there is NO corresponding claim by a Me 163 unit...The only book I do have is far away, back at home and I will give a look as soon as I arrive.
Thanks again for your answer and help.

PS: By the way, have you started?

No mention of any claims on that day in "Me163, volume 1" by S.Ransom and H-H Cammann [Midland, 2006]...

cheers
