ME109 tail fin section number sequence

Hello all,

I recently picked up a tail fin and I was wondering if anyone could shed any additional light on the piece through the production tag numbers.

Re: ME109 tail fin section number sequence

Hi William,
Yes, absolutely a genuine 109F/G standard "short" vertical fin (Seitenflosse) as shown by the 8-109312 Sach-Nr.
I would be cautious about the Werk-Nr 511395 being that for the actual airframe, but, it could be, and might indicate a late G-6 but, that is my guess, not confirmed. Cheers

Just to add, on the first photograph, is that some trace of the Werk-Nr stencil on the bottom right corner of the photo, in reality the lower front left side?
