Six 238 Squadron Hurricanes to trace

Some of you may have looked at my recent posts in the Luftwaffe Forum.
I am desperatley trying to trace the incident of Sgt Bann being shot down in July 1940 by I assume, a Luftwaffe gunner, see his letter on page 352 Battle of Britain Then and Now.
With the superb help of Chris Goss i have now managed to narrow it down to one of the possible aircraft below. I had thought the incident was on the 21st July but this looks to be wrong and could have been early in July.

Can anyone put a name to any of the below Hurricanes next to its lost date? I note from a 238 ORB that Sgt Bann flew P2948 on several occasions...was this his chosen aircraft? the 18th is close to my assumed date of the 21st..

N2329-25 Jul 40
P2948-18 Jul 40......
P3208-25 Jul 40
P3700-3 Jul 40
P3703-6 Jul 40
P3767-15 Jul 40

Thanks to Chris Goss and everyone who has and, will help on this....keep helping!

Had a chance to look at some sources:

N2329: Survived until 18 May 44
P3700: Damaged in combat 3 Jul 40

Anyone with access to the Air Britain P series book will be able to answer the remainder

Re: Six 238 Squadron Hurricanes to trace

This is fantastic information, exactly what this forum is all about.

I am more and more convinced it is the 18th July, he perhaps was flying P2948, when it was lost on this date and i know from several ORB's that Bann had flown this aircraft on several occasions.

WITH RISK OF REPEATING MYSELF FROM THE OTHER FORUM...!
Interestingly Banns letter says he was missing for three days, then on return got leave for two days...if he went missing on the 18th his return to combat would have been on the 24th, I have an ORB with him flying on the 25th so this date does fit.

Anyone have a 238 ORB from July 18th to hand ?
