Message to Chris Goss

Hello Chris,

Apparently you know a lot concerning Jg/2 that's why I call you. During spring or summer 1943, (sorry but I don't know an exactly date) a Me-109 crashed at Canappeville in Normandy (10 km north of Evreux). Eyewitnesses said that the pilot died and recovered by germans ground. However I don't arrive to find the story of this pilot and this aircraft (werk nummer...). I would like very much to put a name on this pilot to remember him. Apparently, this aircraft was in Jg/2 airforce.
There had been only one aircraft crashed at Canappeville during the war.

I know that is a difficult request to you but if you can't there is no problem.
You can send me e-mail if you like : lemarchandloic@aol.com

Thank you
Best regards
Loïc

Just curious, but any reason why you didn't use the Private Message feature for what looks to be a personal message?

Ruy, I discovered some people do not look on the notice about private postings and/or have not updated his settings to choose get a notification when a private message is sent.
I sent some messages to other members and haven´t got responses. When I entered my user´s area I saw the box to notice me was not marked. It took some days till I figured the notice ( and link ) Private Messages in the box on right upper corner.
I´m not saying John do not know about it but other members I believe do not know about this!

I have looked through my 2 lists for 1943 and the name does not figure; were there any other villages/towns nearby. There are many mentions of Evreux though!

Re: Message to Chris Goss

Loïc,

The main reason for this forum is the public exchange of information, however it does feature the means for private messages if the need arrises (for example if you want to send someone your E-mail address). So apology not accepted, since you did nothing wrong!

It can also be handy if you want to gossip

Regards,
