261 Squadron Hurricane's

Hello,
i search for Hurricane serials of the 261
Squadron lost in MTO 1941.
Hope anybody can help!

Try Hurricanes over Malta, by Brian Cull, published by Grub Street. I don't know of any better source.

i live in Germany and it is not easy for me to buy or recive a copy
of this book, so i think i try my luck here on the forum.

Fine, if you knew about the book already. However, doesn't Amazon's second-hand site work in Germany?

261 lost a lot of Hurricanes in 1941: you are asking someone to do quite a lot of work.

i know, but unfortunaly i'am out of work
and my financell situation at this time are
not so good that i can't buy books for all
questions which i have.
Nevertheless thanks for your Info's.
Puuh what a work my english is unfortunaly
not so good.

Hi,

From Hurricanes over Malta, Roll of Honor on page 280.
261 Losses are -

1940:N2701.

1941:N2622;P2629;one non flying; N2715;V7346;V7671;V7474;V7121;V7102;P2653;V7358;
V7799;V7493;V7672;Z3036;Z2904;Z3032;Z3054;V7365;
V7115.

These losses Start in November 1940 till May 1941.

Hope this helps.

PS their claims are in there too.
