Claim by W/C E.G. Barwell, 125 Sqn night 1/2 July 1942

Hi,

W/C E.G. Barwell of 125 Sqn made a claim for a damaged Do17 on the night 1/2 July 1942 but did he fly a Beaufighter or a Defiant? According to Tony Wood´s Combat Claims & Casualties it was a Beaufighter but RAF Fighter Command Victory Claims of WW2 Vol2 by John Foreman has a Defiant. I would also like to know the name of the Air Gunner or Radio Observer.

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Peter,
It was a Beaufighter IIf V8140. The R/O was Sgt. John Graham Young.

Enjoy!

Frank.
