Verifiable Info on Erich Hartmann?
Hello
On Falke Eins very interesting blog site the most recent post dated 27 January provides information on AIMS Decals printed by Microscale. It covers tulip nosed 109s. The picture of the sheet on the site has illustrations of 7 Bf 109s. Thus Hartmanns a/c are featured. The third plane down is Hartmann's 109 when CO of I./JG 53 on 4 Feb 45. What is interesting me is the written comment alongside the picture. It says: "Hartmanns Bf 109 G-14 logged in Hartmann's logbook as a Bf 109 G-6!" My question is, has Hartmann's logbook presumably the 1944 -45 logbook, covering February 1945 been "discovered", or if not, whats the source for this statement??
