Britain's War, volume 2: A New World, 1942-1947

To me this book bridges an important gap in the history of the war. It includes some information about the immediate post-war period. The end of the war in 1945 is not the end in terms of changing borders and the start of the Cold War, and the Soviet threat. Available now.
