FAA pilot Petty Officer Theobald

Hello,

I have an FAA pilot named Petty Officer Theobald (or Theobold) of 804 Squadron who claimed a shared victory with R. Smeeton and W. E. J. Stockwell on 10 April 1940 while flying Sea Gladiators from Hatston in the Orkneys.

Is there anyone who can verify whether this is the same Petty Officer Alfred Theobald who flew Skuas in 803 Squadron from Ark Royal from June to November 1940 and then moved with the unit to Formidable. Alfred Theobald is recorded to have claimed 1 and 4 shared victories with 803 Squadron.

Best wishes/Håkan Gustavsson
