DB 605 engine number
hello,
by cleaning up a DB 605 engine block we fiound a number stamped 26068 A R7 3993 does anyone of the specialists knows what this number is? does it refers to the plane? thanks in advance phil |

Hi Phil,
From my experience, it is part of teh 605 serial number. but when you say "stamped" do you mean an ink stamp? Or a stamp INTO the block with a metal stamp? mike |

its realy stamped with a metal stamp into the block. i will send you a PM with the picture so maybe you can put it on the forum coz i have dificulties is doing it. cheers phil |

Hi Phil,
for me it is (at least first or last digitblock) the serial number of the engine. You can normally find the serial number also stamped the same style on the mountings of the crank shaft inside the housing. If you are finding them, you may compare the numbers. Greetings from bavaria Lino |
