Few years ago in Crimea was discovered a crash site of Luftwaffe a/c. Is any chance to identify plane type, number and etc. Thanks.

Re: Luftwaffe a/c identification

Thanks for your reply!
Good to know the a/c type. Would be great to know who were crew members, what's happened to them? I guess, to find answers on all my questions, I have to know Luftwaffe losses of He 111 in the area. On photo with part tag, you mentioned, manufacturing date is September 1942. So a/c manufacturing date would be end of 1942, latest first months of 1943. Probably, loss is dated sometime in 1943.
May be someone can give me advice, where I can find a person who is working on Luftwaffe losses on East front.
Any help appreciated!
P.S. recently were discovered two more crash sites in Crimea. No point to start new posts at the moment.
