Ju W 34 Info Search
I recently obtained a W 34 data card (paper in metal frame) with the following entires (printed and typed):
Registration: D - OASE Muster: W 34 hi Werk Nr.: 61 Verwendungs- und Beanspr. Gruppe: H 3 (Because of wear/age, the registration and werk nr. entries (typed) were hard to read. I have listed what I believe to be correct.) Might any service information about this machine be known? Thank you, (and happy new year), Steve |

Re: Ju W 34 Info Search
A data plate that is believed from this plane also surfaced. It reads:
Weser Flugzeugbau Lizenz: Junkers Muster: W 34 hi Werk Nr.: Rm 142 Baujahr: 1937 Does this aid airplane identity? All the best, Steve |

Re: Ju W 34 Info Search
Any c/n with Rm is for the mid fuselage section not the complete aircraft. I have something else for c/n 61 so could thsi be 81?

Re: Ju W 34 Info Search
Tony,
Thank you for explaining the "Rm" designation. I revisited the data card. The Werk. Nr. entry is definitely 61. However, I misidentified the registration. The correct registration is D-OSAE; the only letter I am not positive about due to wear/age is S. Does this information match your records? Can you tell me any more about this machine's history or fate? Best regards, Steve |

Stephen
D-OSAE was an He 70F-2 c/n 1609 from 12/36 to the end of 1939,it was then given an Stkz, this a/c crashed 4/42. The plate for the W 34 hi says built 1937 so it could not have been D-OSAE C/n 61 was a W 33 he D-OBIL, this dates from 1934 The c/n batch 1-159 were apparently all W 33 he and the first W 34 hi by this manufacturer appears to have been c/n 160. Re: Ju W 34 Info Search
Tony,
I'd like to have one more go at identification of the aircraft these plates came from. The definite information is: Registration: ??AE (?? may be OS or GS but clearly it's four letters total) Type: W 34 hi Werk Nr. ??61 (there appears to be something entered ahead of the 61, but I can not tell if it's alpha or numeric in nature; possibly a three or four digit number?) Can you perhaps cross-reference known Ju W 34 hi registration and werk numbers to narrow the possibilities. It also appears that the build period for the aircraft is during or near 1937. Thank you again for any further information you can offer. Steve |

Re: Ju W 34 Info Search
Steve
All W 34 were D-O or D-U due to the weight/engine classification. D-OGAE was a W 34 but no c/n known for this. I have identities for c/n 161, 361 but not for 261 or 461 Tony |
