Re: American Aces Died in 2009

I m so sorry for this loss. Life of fighters is always in danger and they live in the fear of death. Really they are so brave. I pray to God may he rest in peace.

ROY EVANS - EAGLE SQUADRON / FOURTH FIGHTER GROUP ACE. Passed away over the weekend, not sure about the date. Confirmed by his daughter in California.

I will treasure all the letters Roy that you sent over the years. A very nice man indeed.

Mark Copeland

Re: American Aces Died in 2009

I have just been advised that Hollis Hills, ( Holly) passed away on Oct 31 in Florida. A U.S. member of RCAF 414 , and the pilot who recorded the first Mustang air victory in WW2 at Dieppe. " he has slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God. " I understand the service will be held at Arlington National.
