What colour was Luftwaffe tracer?
While enjoying watching DVDs showing plenty of LW gun camera film, the question suddenly occurred to me - what colour(s) was LW tracer?
That leads to the question as to what colour tracer was used by the RAF, USAAF, VVS, etc? There would be a whole series of further questions - why did the LW use the colours that it did, did these colours change over time, what were the regulations regarding the use of tracer and so on. No doubt there is some information on this topic out there. Cheers Boomerang |

Re: What colour was Luftwaffe tracer?
Seems I remember reading somewhere that German tracers were red and Allied were white? can't say for sure though as this is from memory...

Re: What colour was Luftwaffe tracer?
MG 151 has blue/gray trasser, MG 17 has red/orange, MG 131 - blue, Oerlikon - MG/FF has yellow (early) / blue/gray (late).
