Grp Capt Harry Broadhurst
Hi guys
I understand that Grp Capt Harry Broadhurst flew operational sorties during the Battle of Britain. Has anyone seen his logbook for 1940? If so, does it contain pertinent entries? Cheers Brian |

Re: Grp Capt Harry Broadhurst
Hi Brian,
probably you know this , from The Battle of Britain London Monument Site:- Broadhurst left 111 on 24th January 1940 and went to HQ 11 Group. In February he took command of 60 Wing in France. On 20th May 1940 he destroyed a Me110 near Arras. After the withdrawal to England in June, Broadhurst became Station Commander at Wittering. During the Battle of Britain he flew occasional operational sorties with No. 1 Squadron, thus qualifying for the clasp. Maybe 1 Squadron's ORB has something ! Bruce Lander |

Re: Grp Capt Harry Broadhurst
Thanks Bruce
I was hoping for logbook entries. I wonder if the relevant logbook is at Hendon? Cheers Brian |
