The Me 262's are at Fassberg after they flew in to surrender.

You had, not me.

Notice the dark dirt/damage between the air scoope and the "Pik As". Very clear, or?
You got the "white 15" as WNr. 18199, based on what facts? I think you can change it now. ;-)
Greetings my friends... thanks to Nick, Franck and Marc and to Gerry for the photos.

Anyway, 18199 was a JG77 machine

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Thank you all for your replies.
Unfortunately that was the only photograph of German aircraft in the album so I can't add any more.

Gerry

Most welcome, Gerry. Collective knowledge is crucial, as always.
One last question on my side: any way to know where this photo was taken in Italy ?

Cheers
Marc

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Marc,
I'm sorry but the album has no further information relating to the location.
I wish that I could help you more.

Gerry

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Very interesting. I have AE 479 as a E-3 WNr 1304. At least the tail unit seems to originate from WNr 1980, a E-4 also from Erla.

Regards
RolandF
