Re: luftwaffe wrecks
Hello,
"Broken Eagles Luftwaffe Losses over Yorkshire" by Bill Norman is a great book and will answer your question perfectly. It lists 60+ Luftwaffe crashes some obvioulsy down in the sea with 33 land crashes detailed in the book. Get your walking boots on as some of the crashes are up on the North York Moores, parts of several can still be found scattered across the crash sites so well worth a hike. As for West Yorks, one of the crashes is i think a JU88 down at a Timber Yard in Bradford, and it was not full recovered. Good Luck |
