LIBERATOR B-24 "BLUE STREAK", 376TH BS, "LIBERANDOS" photo group

Tonelli Auction and Collectibles has a great set of photographs of “LIBERANDOS” B24 Liberator bomber built by Consolidated Vultee named the “BLUE STREAK” in this weeks auction.
This warbird was the victor of 110 attack missions, 1058 combat hours and the first combat Heavy Bomber to return from combat in Europe. She is also credited with raid on the Axis in Libya, Germany and Italy. She dropped a ½ million pounds of bombs on the Axis, sank a destroyer, a tanker and a merchant vessel. All this without one of the 250 crewmen that served on her being killed or wounded, herself having gone through 19 engines, twice saved from the junk heap and having some 150 flak holes! Her gunners are credited with shooting down 23 Axis fighters.
