Re: B-17G 42-107085 Lt. Creagh Crew
Hi Guys,
First of all.... "Sorry" for my late reply to you.... Thanks for helping with your Information`s, but further a very difficult case regarding the crashsite of B-17 42-107085. Not 100% sure that the crashsite near Stapelburg is correct.... I think that only the IDPF for Lt. Eugene M. Creagh can help. Thanks again for all, streak98 |

Re: B-17G 42-107085 Lt. Creagh Crew
Hello Dirk,
the casualty return KU 2891 was drawn up by the DULAG-LUFT on 3 Oct 1944 and updated on 2 Nov 1944 with the names of six POW of the Lt Goodman crew. The KU 2958 documents refer to different flyers and crash places, so to Britz north of Eberswalde (Sgt Groff and 2 dead) and Wackersleben (Sgt Groff and identification tags of three crew members of the B-17 43-38355, shot down near Üplingen, KU 2944, MACR 8871). I quote the book "Im Anflug auf Planquadrat Julius-Cäsar, Flugzeugabstürze des 2. The two dead were the ball turret gunner S/Sgt Cheek and the tail gunner S/Sgt Groff of the Goodman crew. Regards Leo |

Here are links to the KU reports mentioned above. Not sure if seeing the reports will help.

It is NOT free but you can generally get a file electronically in a week or two. I can PM you the address if you interested. |
