Uffz Ludwig Mang

During operations around the Dieppe Raid I have a note saying that Uffz Ludwig Mang of KuflGr.106 was killed after Ju88A-4 WNr. 140078 was damaged (20%). But checking through my records I cannot find a reference to him in the notes I took from the IWM copy of the Luftwaffe loss lists.

So can anybody confirm whether Uffz Mang was killed on 19th August 1942?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Re: Uffz Ludwig Mang

Correct. Reported as "Kopfschuss im Luftkampf". Initially buried Ehrenfriedhof Chateaudun.

Re: Uffz Ludwig Mang

106 was not directly involved over Dieppe rather attacking targets in the Portsmouth area that evening. Born 5 Nov 1920 in Obergünzberg and yes buried at Chateaudun.

Re: Uffz Ludwig Mang

The recorded NVMs for that day have 142136, 1534, 140718 and nothing from Mang's aircraft
