Ju86P 5101 lost 6 September 1942

Hi guys

Ju86P 5101 of 2.(F)/123 was forced to carry out an emergency landing on 6 September 1942 following contact with Spitfires. It came down at the German-occupied landing ground at Bir-el-Abd, and was 60% damaged (a write-off?)

What happened to this aircraft? Was it dismantled and flown back for salvage?

Cheers
Brian
