II/SchG 1

Does anyone have information on a German pilot from this unit that might have shot down a Soviet Airacobra on the 24Apr1943. I can't get Tony Woods list to pull up using my iPad but maybe someone else has additional information. Also interested in the PlQu. for the claim.

Re: II/SchG 1

Day: 24. April 1943

24.04.43 Ltn. Rudolf Miethig 3./JG 52 Airacobra  75 452: at 4.700 m. 16.42 Film C. 2032/II Anerk: Nr. 515

24.04.43 Ltn. Rudolf Miethig 3./JG 52 Airacobra  85 341: at 1.800 m. 16.45 Film C. 2032/II Anerk: ASM

24.04.43 Fw. Karl Schumacher 8./JG 52 Airacobra  75 441: at 3.300 m. 16.47 Film C. 2032/II Anerk: Nr. 726

24.04.43 Ltn. Josef Obleser 8./JG 52 Airacobra  75 444: at 3.000 m. 16.48 Film C. 2032/II Anerk: Nr. 727

Tony Woods' list of 6 July 2003 that I have downloaded relatively recently contains no reference to any II./SchG 1 claim on that day. There might be a more recent version of the said list, but this is all what I have got.

Re: II/SchG 1

All the JG units have been ruled out but a Soviet pilot on that date observed two Fw 190 approaching their unit from the rear. The only unit equipped in that area was I/SchG 1 which was transferred to that area from the Med. theatre of operation. The P-39 is being recovered at this time but the circumstances of who shot it down is a mystery.
