Re: German script translation needed please
Melvin,
with a few "blackouts" (can't decipher yet) it reads: "from left to right: 1) Richter 2) Lindner 3) Triebstein 4) Hörel (or Hösel?) died in crash 2.5.40 during ......flight 5) Peters 6) Blach 7) Hass 8) ? 9) Herchenröther died in crash 2.5.40 during ...... Time: 19.17 Hours conjoint winter walk in January 1940" Hoping this helps a little. Best Regards Norbert

Re: German script translation needed please
@ robert,
sorry for intercepting, but nope! That's already translated/answered IMO with "died in crash". What i can't decipher i have posted in the answer with the dotlines to fill with the missing words. Nonetheless thanks for your kind efforts. Best Regards Norbert

Re: German script translation needed please
Hello hanshauprich,
this possibly might be worth a thing to check out between the lines. The target area Bad Orb just was called so due to simplify the location or for other purposes. I know this spot likely well but nonetheless indeed it is Lettgenbrunn. If the a/c was on a bomb training mission to that place, i suppose the 111 must have taken off before from airfield Rothenbergen. Just some personal thoughts in addition. Cheers Norbert
