I will echo dragondog's email. Powell was a ground crewman in the 352nd and is their historian. A good friend of mine, Sam Sox, is their photographer and works closely with Powell. He is at:

ssox3@sc.rr.com

His wife just returned from 4 x by-pass surgery, so he may not answer you right away!

Powell was a pilot in the 352nd. Between November 11, 1943 and August 4, 1944 Punchy flew 89 missions with the 352nd FG. He claimed 5.333 enemy aircraft destroyed, 2 probables and 5 damaged. He was awarded the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters The Distinguished Flying Cross with two Oak Leaf Clusters a Presidential Unit Citation, and the European Theater Award with three Battle Stars.

Before Ev Stewart transferred from 352nd to 355th FG, Punchy was flying his wing when Ev got his first kill.. a really very good guy - lives in Atlanta for last 50 years.
