And you were right Simon this photo had been already published at least one time, inside Jet & Prop 4/05 Sept/Oct 2005 issue, an article about Gerhard Hanf...

It was published 40 years ago in Jägerblatt and I suspect Karl Ries to have included it in one of his books.
