Ju 88 lost or damaged on 25th February 1944
Hello!
I am looking for a possible claim submitted by a 248 Squadron aircraft on the 25th February 1944. It was identified as being a Ju 88, heavily shot by two Mosquitos ( possibly around the Bay of Biscay ). Any informatin regarding this Ju 88 ( crew and serial number ) would be welcomed. Yours Adriano Baumgartner |

Re: Ju 88 lost or damaged on 25th February 1944
Hello Chris!
Thanks again for your help. Unfortunately I did not manage to reach the former airman you were looking for down here in South America. Hope you and family are all well. Please, if you do manage to see Hilliard, send me a message. I will try to have a new call on the phone number you gave me some time ago. I do not know why people did not answer... Yours, with respect and very thankfull Adriano Baumgartner |

Re: Ju 88 lost or damaged on 25th February 1944
Found them in the Excel-File ...
given loss location: Rennes (F); 3.(F)/123 (or 3.(F)/A.Gr. 123) unfortunately no more plane details (just "Ju 88" is given). Crew: (F) St.Fw. Garschhammer, Heinrich (unharmed) (B) Ofw. Kreuzer, Michael (unharmed) (Bf) Ofw. Kirch, Siegfried KIA (Bs) Uffz. Harnisch, Heinz KIA This info mostly comes from the www.absa39-45.asso.fr website. Please note the different spelling of the radio-op's name (Kirch - not Kirsch), which is in accordance with the VDK database. Hope, this helps a bit ...
