Pilot of KG 3

Can someone tell me if it's likely that Oberfeldwebel (later Hauptmann) Walter Kleimeier born 21.3.1916 would have flown with KG 3 during the Battle of France and Britain in 1940?
He joined the Luftwaffe as a Gefreiter in the mid 30's and underwent pilot training in the 72nd Training Regiment.
After qualifying to fly Ju 88's and D17's he was posted to 7 Staffel KG 3 in February 1940. Promoted to Oberfeldwebel on 1.6.41 he gained the Iron Cross 1st and Second Class and Black Wound Badge. He took part in the Balkan and Russian Campaigns, and by September 1942 had flown over 200 missions, receiving the German Cross in Gold on 7.11.42. He received the Gold Bomber Clasp and Bar on 30.5.43.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Matti,
Is it likely that a service record still exists in Germany for Walter Kleimeier, and if so, do you have an address? He was a serving Hauptmann up until 1962 in the Luftwaffe.
Best Regards,
Simon

I don't have address of any Luftwaffe pilot. However, suggest that you contact Gemeinschaft der Flieger deutscher Streitkräfte E.V. There is a slight possibility that they could help you. Address:
