Ju 52 Float Plane Help needed

Hope some of you can help me. I'm searching for detail shots of the floats of the Junkers Ju 52. As I know the Ju 52 in Bodo, Norway is a float plane, but I coudn't find a walkaround of that plane.

Help would be great.

Nice Greetings from Vienna,
Simon

Do you mean a preserved Ju 52 on floats? I never heard. I know there is a float - or a pair - in a museum in Norway (I guess). Take a look on http://www.preservedaxisaircraft.com/ under German and Relics.

Re: Ju 52 Float Plane Help needed

The Ju 52 Seaplane really looks fine. I'm a little bit amused about the fact that you haven't seen this plane before, because I visit the 12 o'clock high forum for some years, and know that you are an expert on Luftwaffe stuff.

It's fine that a "greenhorn" could show you new stuff.

The pics I need are not for me. A good friend of mine and member of http://www.rlm.at will build the Ju 52 Seaplane in 1:48 scale. He really builds fantastic models. I try to help him with background infos, but here I also couldn't help.

To contact Mikael is a good idea.

Nice Greetings from Vienna,

Simon

Re: Ju 52 Float Plane Help needed

Simon,

I can´t call myself an "expert". Sometimes I can give the correct response or find a good information or photo for some friends. I´m luck to have a good collection of books so it gives me an "advantage" to the young ones (but this advantage stops when memory plays the game).
Reading the info on the plane at Mikael´s page it comes from Museu del Aire in Portugal so I believe it was restored and new (replica) or restored floats adapted. I do not remember seeing it when I explored all Preserved Axis Aircrafts page but confess it was long time ago, when I sent some pics of German planes and engines here in Brasil. My visits there have been very quick since then.

Most interesting I have this same idea. To bring back the Ju-52 preserved in Argentina which flew in Brazil at Sindicato Condor / Cruzeiro do Sul and restore it with replica floats. It would be a great display in TAM´s Asas de um Sonho museum but due TAM´s main driving force death, Mr. Rolim Amaro I´m sure we will never have a Tante Ju here...

Re: Ju 52 Float Plane Help needed

Perhaps it is too late but if not ask for help the Canadian fans of aviation. The Canadian Airways had the Ju 52/1m with floats. The plane was registered CF-ARM.
