W.Nr./crash locations of three Nachtjagd losses 20-21 January 1944?
Dear all,
Who can help me fill in the Werknummer plus precise crash locations of the following three Nachtjäger, all lost during the 20-21 January 1944 Berlin raid: NJG5 Stab I. Bf110 G-4 W.Nr ? (Hptm. Hoffmann & crew, C9+CB), near Dreetz? JG301 Stab Fw190 A W.Nr.? near Welzow JG301 9. Bf109 G W.Nr.? near Jüterbog Cheers, Theo |

his could be also Ofw. Heinz Stahlhut Stab/J.G. 301 Fw 190 A- bailed out, engine fire near Welzow Ofw. Siegfried Heintsch 1./J.G. 301 Bf 109 G-6, 27045 killed in combat near Pretzsch / Elbe Stab IV./N.J.G. 5 - C9+BW and C9+BF 4./N.J.G. 5 - C9+IN Cheers, René |

I have the following nine losses for the night -for the preparation of one of the plotting maps in the 1944 NCA series I need to have the complete details for these losses, in particular the correct W.Nr and crash locations: NJG4 6. Bf110 G-4 5431 Spreenhagel near Berlin NJG5 Stab IV. Bf110 G-4 140016 Strigleben near Terneberg NJG5 Stab I. Bf110 G-4 ? (Hptm. Hoffmann & crew, C9+CB), near Dreetz? NJG1 Stab II. Bf110 G-4 720180 Herne/Westfalen NJG5 Stab IV. Bf110 G-4 720015 Werben near Kogau JG301 Stab Fw190 A-7 430178 10 km. N. of Kehlheim/Bayern JG301 Stab Fw190 A ? near Welzow JG301 9. Thanks a lot for these additional details Kaczmarek. May I ask you if you could expand on the 'two further losses from the N.J.G.2 and one from N.J.G. 5' that you mention? Do these concern aircraft that were damaged in action, or actual losses?

Thanks for sharing these additional details. I have, however, for Ofw. Lüddeke of 3./NJG2 that he claimed two probable Halifax Abschüsse during a sortie from Deelen in Ju88 C-6 R4+EL between 17.35 and 21.40 hrs on this night .. Cheers, Theo |

R4+EL was not a crash, Namentliche Verlustmeldung says: Flugzeug unten 10% beschädigt - damage less than 10%.
The landing occured 21.40 hrs in Deelen. Heß was taken to a military hospital in Arnhem. |
