I/ ZG 26 : 7 B-17

II/ ZG 26 :3 B-17

III/ ZG 76 :1 B-17

I/ ZG 76 : 9 B-17

J have only 1 B-17 by Oblt Krause of 1/ZG76

From where is your data?
Looking in Donald Caldwell's book Day fighters in defence of the Reich he states the following
I./ZG 26: 5 B-17
II./ZG 26: ?
III./ZG 76: 0
I./ZG 76: ?

For some reason it is very difficult to get accurate claims from the ZG.

Can anyone advise where Tony Wood's claim lists has gone? Whenever I need to check them out, they seems to have moved. Last time I managed to find them there were no claims by the ZG in 1944 (the dates I checked that is).

Hi Guys

Apart from an A.S.M listing the micro films daily entries for January 1944 are missing, or not yet been found. However there are the individual listing for each Staffel that exist, and they only give date and time(no type), these differ a little from what you list, I have been given names for those of ZG 26:-

1./ZG 26 Peter Jenne 1150 hrs
4./ZG 26 Rudolf Dassow 1245 hrs
3./ZG 26 three claims by three bondfunker Reinhard Lutz(BF to Maier), Friedrich Lyons(BF to Wagner) and Schulz(BF to Gorner) all recorded between 1130 hrs and 1200 hrs.....these seem strange bordfunkers claiming heavies!

With ZG 76:-

1./ZG 76 Herbert Schob 1219 hrs.....this comes from his flugbuch which records such a claim for aB-17 at exactly this time.
1./ZG 76 Erich Krause 1232 hrs and 1237 hrs......these come from a micro film for individuals listing date and time only, but B-17's x 2.
All others below I have not been able to put names to:-
2./ZG 76 1220 hrs
1./ZG 76 1225 hrs
7./ZG 76 1225 hrs
Stab.I./ZG 76 1230 hrs
2./ZG 76 1232 hrs
3./ZG 76 1243 hrs
3./ZG 76 1245 hrs
3./ZG 76 1247 hrs

Hopefully somebody else can provided a few name to the above claims.

Reinhard Lutz and Friedrich Lyons are pilots, not Bordfunker. I believe Schulz is a pilot too.....
