Bf 110 group indentification?

Hello,

Being new to understanding Luftwaffe aircraft codes I was wondering - is it possible to indentify which squadron/group this Bf-110 is from based on the photo below?

I believe this pilot may be Franz Stigler's (JG 27/JV 44) brother August, who was killed in October 1940 in France.

Any help you guys could provide would be appreciated.
